Suki II
My name is Danielle and I adopted Suki II in 2004. Suki was my pride and joy. Although I never physically had any children, I considered Suki my son.
Suki was my companion and my comfort for many years. He had the soul of a human and brought me much happiness. Suki was a wonderful cat and I am glad I had the pleasure to love him, spoil him, and take care of him for nine years.
Unfortunately on March 26, 2013 my boy, Suki II, passed away. Suki developed kidney disease and in spite of all the special diet foods and sub-Q fluids, his diagnosis could not be reversed. I had Suki's remains cremated and his ashes remain with me.
I miss Suki every day and he will always hold a special place in my heart. I just wanted to honor Suki II and let everyone know he was a very special cat.
Smudge
Our dear Smudge passed away 7-13-13 after a valiant, but unsuccessful battle with acute pancreatitis. As a young kitten, Smudge was surrendered to a kill shelter, where he was placed in quarantine with almost no chance of adoption. Luckily, a Siamese Rescue volunteer spotted him and whisked him to safety. He was so full of charm and personality that his foster mom, Michelle, adopted him permanently into her pack. Many years later, Smudge had eyelid surgery, and because he needed to wear an Elizabethan collar, his furry family members shunned and taunted him so we “temporarily” brought him to our home. We had recently lost our two old timer feline family members and Smudge was the king of the house. Smudge decided he liked our home and he adopted us. Smudge was a great philosopher and intuitive healer. He sent love and healing energy to people through his presence and his very powerful purr. Smudge helped all people feel better with his beauty and his calm. He is greatly missed and will forever remain in our hearts and spirits. He is survived by his orange step brothers, Ivan the Terrible and Phantom, and his moms, Lynn, Laura and Michelle.
Weezie
Weezie came to Michigan Siamese Rescue on 10-8-09 and was adopted by a very gentle man who wanted companionship of a Siamese. She had a wonderful life with him until he passed on 1-1-2013. Michigan Siamese Rescue took Weezie back and Elaine and Rick took wonderful care of her as she had been diagnosed with kidney disease. She was doing really well, but one morning Weezie was no longer with us. We truely belive she died of a broken heart over the loss of her dearest friend and companion. She touched the fosters' heart and also the Doctor and their staff at the clinic she had been at when diagnosed. Her companion was a very special person and so was Weezie. They were a great pair and now they are together. (9-2-2005 - 4-1-2013)
Toby
A Parting Prayer
Dear Lord, please open your gates and call St. Francis
to come escort this beloved companion across the Rainbow Bridge.
Assign him to a place of honor, for he has been a faithful servant
and has always done his best to please me.
Bless the hands that send him to you,
for they are doing so in love and compassion,
freeing him from pain and suffering.
Grant me the strength not to dwell on my loss.
Help me remember the details of his life with the love he has shown me.
And grant me the courage to honor him by sharing those memories with others.
Let him remember me as well and let him know that I will always love him.
And when it's my time to pass over into your paradise,
please allow him to accompany those who will bring me home.
Thank you, Lord,
for the gift of his companionship and for the time we've had together.
And thank you, Lord,
for granting me the strength to give him to you now.
Mandy & Tucker
Mandy and Tucker went to their forever home in August of 2004 at the
ages guestimated to be 5 at that time. Tucker went over the Rainbow
Bridge on 7-21-2012 to join his beloved Mandy who preceded him by
several years. Mandy and Tucker were greatly loved and will be missed
by Mell & Elaine.
