Summary of Adoption Fees

Adoption Application Fee
There is a non-refundable $10 application fee required before any application is processed to cover the costs of processing your application.

Adoption Donation
A Standard adoption donation is $200 for a "mixed or unverified purebred" cat/kitty and $200 for a purebred.  All adoption donations are non-refundable.

Spay/Neuter Deposit
Any cat adopted that has not yet been altered requires a deposit of $100 for the first cat and $25 each additional cat. The entire deposit is only refundable if all cats covered by the deposit have been spayed or neutered.

Owner Surrender Donation
$50 per cat to defray expenses. We strongly encourage Owner Assisted Adoption over surrender.

 Owner Assisted Adoption
The cat(s) remain with the owner while MISR assists with placement. There are two different levels of assistance:

• Basic: Donation of $50 for first cat, $25 each additional. Includes picture and biography listing on our website. All inquires are referred to owner for any further proceedings.

• Expanded: Donation of $100 for first cat, $30 each additional. Listing as per Basic. MISR will require adoption application from all potential adopters and perform all screening, reference checks, and interviews, and provide documentation to owner, along with recommendation to approve or deny an application.

All above donation levels are a “minimum donation” (excluding application fee) and may be tax deductible as a charitable contribution. Any donation above the minimum will help rescue more cats. All donations are non-refundable.
