I am Tico, a very handsome Balinese Snowshoe mix, and my story, like many others, is not a happy one. I first lived with my humans...a Mom, Dad, and kids...and I loved them a lot. Then, they moved a year ago, and left me with "Grandma," who was sort of indifferent to me. That was hard, after being part of a family. I got along with the two dogs and other cat there, but I was left on my own to roam inside and out.
Last week, my world turned upside down again! My extended family suddenly moved away and left me! They took the dogs and the other cat, but left me alone :( I don't know what I did wrong to make them leave me like that....I am a very gentle and lovey type of guy. I'm no spring chicken, so I was not used to being on my own like that outside all the time.
Finally, a neighbor lady saw me and realized I had been abandoned by my family. She let me stay on her porch with good food, fresh water, and a nice heating pad. But her porch wasn't screened in and she couldn't let me in the house, because of her other kitty. So, I just lived on her porch for about a week. It's getting cold at night and I used to call to her to please let me in, but she sadly could not.
I am now in a very nice and cozy foster home, but I miss being part of a Forever Home with family. I am so fluffy, handsome and cuddly, I just know you'd love me if you met me!
Please think about giving me a home with lots of warm cuddles and good food. I am such a gentle soul, and I'd be a great quiet and sweet companion. After not being really wanted by my former humans, I want to love and trust someone again. Could that be YOU?"
