Peppie was born in January 2012 so he just celebrated his 2nd birthday. He is a very handsome Siamese Seal Point, a true “wedgie.” He is neutered, declawed, and FIV/FELV negative. Peppie has all the typical characteristics of a Siamese, i.e., he is very energetic, playful, talkative, etc. It is clear that he needs to be in a home with people who understand the habits of a Siamese cat.
Peppie had a little difficulty adjusting to his new foster home. He would try to bite your hand if he felt even the least bit threatened. Fortunately, after a few weeks of attention and gentle correction from his foster mom and dad, he has settled down.
Whoever adopts him will also need to continue to work with him until he trusts him/her and understands you won’t hurt him with your hand. Allowing him to bite or “play” with your hands will only increase his aggression. He can be taught to stop this type of behavior.
Peppie’s foster mom thinks his fear of hands is typical cat behavior for a cat that has been disciplined or slapped with a hand. Peppie should not be in a home with children because their movements are too quick and will frighten him. Please think about giving Peppie a chance for a family and forever home.
