Hello, my name is “Bebe” and I was born around December 2010, which means I have a birthday coming up soon. Sure hope I’m in my new home to celebrate it.
I am a female, spayed, Siamese Lynx Point mix and was adopted from MISR in 2011 by a lovely couple who seriously spoiled me and made me a very happy cat.
Sadly, one of my owners passed away a few weeks ago and the other has moved into assisted living. The family members who were willing to take me discovered they are allergic to me!
I am a little on the shy side but love to snuggle and sit on any available lap (once we have been properly introduced). After less than 24 hours in my foster home, I have come out from under the sofa and allowed foster mom to pet me and brush me. She is not sure if I am playful. We’ll have to see how well I adjust to a new environment (and if I feel like playing). It is important to point out that I have very good litter box habits and use a scratching post when necessary.
Foster mom is not sure if I would get along with children, dogs or other cats. I don't think I would like to be around dogs or children since I have no experience with them. I'm not sure about other cats but I guess it may be possible if the introduction is handled correctly (not by tossing me in a room with the other kitty).
10/5/15 Update: Bebe allowed foster mom to clip all her nails without any struggling. She has a very tiny "meow." Sometimes, it is such a small "meow" foster mom has to stop what she is doing and listen carefully. Also, Bebe comes to foster mom when she is called.
At age five, I still have a lot of active years left. Please complete an application today and let me come home with you to snuggle and purr. I would like to be your little “bebe” (which I think is French for “baby”).
MISR always accepts donations of lightly used cat carriers, cat trees/towers, and polartec delivery blankets.
