Chance here! Well here I am at my new foster home and it is groovy! I discovered a party animal in myself. After being in the Intro Room with the screen door, Dad decided I and my sister Asia were ready for the Great Reveal--that means we were allowed out and about in the house and it is great to be able to be with all the other cats live and up close instead of through the screen. Everyone is friendly and that is great because I am a 4 paw declaw and guestimated 3-5 and I have a slight (ahem) beer belly:) But with all the running and playing I do now that is like workin out at the gym and I am slimming down.
So Auntie came over to help care for all of us and when she sat on the couch and called "come here Chancy baby where's the baby" I came running to her and jumped up on the couch and slammed my head into her hand. She was so happy that I am such a friendly guy, but you see I grew up with a wonderful senior lady and I loved her a lot until she passed away. I miss her but I will see her on The Other Side, I know:)
Everyone says I am one of the darkest Seal Points they have ever seen. My coat is very shiny and healthy now since Auntie brushed and rubbed me with a grooming mitt. Auntie brushes us all, checks and cleans our ears, wipes our eyes when needed, tells Dad to cut our nails ('cept I don't have any--GRIN) in case he forgets. Since I use the litter box always, I am low maintenance in that department.
One thing I am learning is to like to be picked up and carried. I am a little scared cause I am not used to this. (Auntie says: Chance is doing better every day. He has never growled or even hinted at biting when picked up or held on the lap. I am never worried about being bitten.)
I REALLY like to be in the living room with my humans to look out the window or sprawl on the floor or lay next to them and watch TV or climb in Dad's bed to sleep even though I sure don't need to keep warm in this weather!
Please come and meet me--I will give you head butts if you will scratch my back! Deal? Deal!
