Chloe is a stunning, 3 1/2-year-old, female Seal Point Siamese, born on October 14, 2018. She came to Michigan Siamese Rescue shortly before Thanksgiving 2021 because her owner died of Covid. Chloe was very scared and would hiss, bite and scratch anyone who came near her.
It took some time to adjust, but she came to trust her foster family and has not scratched or bitten anyone since those first few weeks. Once Chloe calmed down, it was obvious that she was affectionate and liked to jump up in her foster family's laps for petting. She also competes with the resident dog for petting by rubbing against people and purring whenever they try to pet the dog.
Chloe likes watching birds through the window, and she enjoys playing with string. She also loves catnip. Chloe gets along fine with the foster family’s dog, but we think it is clear that she would prefer to be an only pet. No one from the original owner’s extended family could keep Chloe because they had their own cats and Chloe did not get along with them. We think that Chloe would do best in a house where she is the only cat.
Chloe seems to like chasing and bullying the resident cat in her foster home. We think it will take a few weeks for Chloe to calm down and adjust to a new home. Chloe has had a rough time adjusting to the changes, so she needs a quiet home If there are children, they must be at least 10-years-old. Chloe will be a friendly, affectionate and sweet pet after she gets used to her new home and people..
All MISR cats are neutered/spayed, current on rabies and distemper and all known health issues have been addressed. The adoption fee for Chloe is $200 and she is located in a foster home in Brighton MI.
