Orchid is a beautiful, fluffy, Siamese mix (maybe Lilac Point, Long-haired Siamese, and Tortie). She is about 4.5 months old and was picked up as a stray. Orchid was very scared when she first arrived at MISR. Now, she will allow foster dad and foster auntie to pick her up but she may react with a little hiss as a warning, but will soon start purring as she is being petted.
Orchid gets along with the other foster and resident cats but she is very fond of Ahmi. They are often found sleeping together or just hanging out. Orchid does not initiate contact with humans. She spends much of her time in another room away from humans. Whether or not Orchid continues to avoid human interaction remains to be determined. She has only been in her foster home for a few months and was very skittish when she arrived.
Foster dad and auntie think she has made very good progress in adapting to her new surroundings and believe she will continue gaining confidence. She needs a home with people who will be patient and loving and allow her to progress at her own speed. Orchid will be a great pet but she needs time to adjust.
All MISR cats are FIV/FELV tested, spayed or neutered, current on rabies and distemper and all known health issues have been addressed. Orchid is in a foster home in Novi MI and her adoption fee is $200.
