Penny was born on Valentine’s Day 2012 but she has not had a “sweet” life. She was surrendered to MISR in 2017 because her owner added a fiancé and two dogs that scared Penny. She found a new home but now (because of a new baby and dog), she has come back to MISR in search of another home!
This is not Penny’s fault! She is a sweet, confident kitty and likes to greet people. Penny enjoys sitting on laps and has great litter box habits, She loves watching wildlife through the door wall and uses her scratching post very well. Penny is affectionate and her foster mom from 2017 said Penny used to sleep with her head on the pillow next to foster mom.
Penny does not care for children since their loud noises and quick movements scare her. Penny has asthma that is controlled by a dose of 1/2 of a Prednisolone tablet. Her current foster mom crushes the pill and mixes it in her canned food. A prescription of 60 tablets lasts about 4 months and costs about $30. Note: Penny needs a home where NO SMOKING is allowed. It would trigger an asthma attack.
Penny needs a home with no other pets and someone who is home a lot. She has a dog personality as she likes to greet people when they knock or ring the door bell. Penny is food driven. Her food intake must be monitored so she does not get over weight.
Please consider this precious and affectionate girl. She is a great companion and deserves a forever home that really is forever. Penny is located in a foster home in Pinckney and her adoption fee is $125. All MISR cats are FIV/FELV tested, current on rabies and distemper and all known health issues have been addressed.
