SOPHIE HAS AN ADOPTION PENDING.
Sophie is a lovely, fluffy Flame Point/Ragdoll mix with a “Ragdoll” demeanor, estimated to be around two-years-old. She came to MISR from a Trap/Neuter/Release organization when it was determined she was friendly and not feral.
In fact, Sophie very much prefers people over cats and always has a grumble for any cat that gets too close. Sophie tolerates, rather than gets along with other cats. So, she would be best as an only cat.
Sophie may not be good around children. Rather than taking a chance on a failed adoption, we prefer a home for her without any young (under age 10) children. Nothing specific to point to, it just seems she has a level of maturity that she has outgrown overt playfulness.
Sophie eats well (canned and dry), has no issues with litter box usage and cooperates completely with grooming such as claw clipping. She welcomes affection and petting and is 100% a lap-sitter.
She is a good sleeping buddy. However, with so many other cats to contend with she does not always find a spot on the bed that is acceptable to her. She has beaten them to the punch by sometimes staking out her spot before foster dad goes to bed. Her spot is usually right next to his pillow.
All MISR cats are spayed/neutered, FIV/FELV tested current on rabies and distemper and all known health issues have been addressed. The adoption fee for Sophie is $200 and she is in a foster home in Novi MI,
