It was a dark and stormy night, when a lady looked out her window and saw a small animal licking the grease off her grill. She realized it was a tiny kitten so she brought it some food and water. The kitten was starving, just skin and bones.
It took a few days for the kitty to trust her and when the lady was able to catch the kitten, she took her to the vet for a checkup. The kitten only weighed one pound. Who knows how long this little girl was lost, hungry, and alone?
Hello, my name is “Queen Elizabeth” but my friends call me “Lizzie.” And that starving kitten was me. Now, after 2 ½ months of good food, attention, and a warm place to sleep, I am doing great and weight 4.5 lbs.
I am a Seal Point Siamese mix and the vet thinks I am about five months old. I was just spayed and I’m healing nicely.
The lady who saved me, my foster mom, and another lady from the rescue, all say I am adorable, fun-loving, and affectionate. I also ride calmly and quietly in the car.
Foster mom says I am sweet and learn the rules quickly. i.e., don’t bite while playing; don’t climb the Xmas tree, etc. She also said I have great litter box habits and get along with the resident cat (and a visiting cat). I take running leaps at the old dog but he ignores me.
I cannot go to a home with very young children. (I think middle school age kids would be okay.) I will sit on your lap and purr but not for long since I am a busy, playful cat.
I know I sound almost perfect but there are two warnings from foster mom…First, I am very interested in the outdoors so people have to be super vigilant and very careful when they go in and out of the house, or let the dog out, or open the door for company. I am very quick so I have to be watched carefully! Second warning…I lick leftovers from plates and it gives me diarrhea. You need to put your dirty plates away and don’t leave any food out that will upset my stomach!
Now that I’ve told you all about me, what do I want to know about you? It’s pretty simple, I want to know that the people in my forever home will love me, play with me, feed me good food, and treat me gently. You can view this as your charitable deed at this giving time of year. Please make a place in your heart and your home for a deserving kitten like me.
All MISR cats are FIV/FELV tested, neutered/spayed, current on rabies and distemper and all known heath issues have been addressed. The adoption fee for Lizzie is $150 and she is located in a foster home in Brighton Mi.
