Perry is a male, neutered, three-year-old, purebred Siamese Snowshoe Ragdoll. He is a beautiful boy with a personality to match. Perry is looking for a new home because his owners have divorced and sadly, neither is able to take him.
Perry is also FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) positive. Although FIV affects his immune system, his life span will be almost comparable with a non-infected cat. The FIV virus is not contagious to humans or dogs. It can only be transmitted to another cat by a deep, puncture wound, not through litter boxes, water and food bowls, or snuggling and cleaning each other.
He is a friendly, affectionate boy, loves all-over body rubs and being brushed. Perry purrs to show his appreciation. He enjoys watching the world go by out the bedroom room window. He has not shown any inclination to get out of his room or out of the house.
We don’t know if he will get along with other cats since he is still isolated from the other cats in the foster home. He may be able to get along with a well-behaved dog if the introduction is handled properly. He has never been with small children so we don’t recommend a home with children under 10 years of age.
Perry also needs a home where people will be very careful about keeping him away from open doors since he has had a taste of being outdoors and may try to get out once he is comfortable in a new home.
