Rosie is a pretty, friendly, Seal Point Siamese with beautiful, sapphire blue eyes who will be 17 years old in September. It is breaking her owner’s hearts to ask for help in finding a good person or a family where Rosie can spend her remaining years. They said that everyone who meets her falls in love with her.
They have to move to England soon and have made the difficult decision to not take Rosie with them. They don’t want to subject her to nearly 24 hours of travelling, spending 4-5 hours each at Detroit and London airports in Pet Cargo areas. Then she would have to travel in a separate pressurized cabin, in two different planes, totaling 10 hours or more, There is also a layover of 2 hours when there would be no human contact and a great deal of noise. Rosie hates travelling in a car, let alone a plane! She would not see her owners throughout this ordeal! The journey would simply be too frightening and stressful for her.
Rosie is a very friendly and loving cat that loves cuddles, kisses, (which she will give you back), older children (10 years and up), a lap to sit on, and chatting with you. She does not hide away in her bed all day, but loves to talk to you to remind you she needs some food or attention.
Rosie likes to stretch out on the floor where she would love you to lie next to her (she thinks this is her yoga). She needs her new family to be around for her some of the day because she gets lonely on her own. She had a brother and sister who she used to curl up with all the time, but sadly they recently passed away. Rosie would probably make friends with another quiet, senior cat with similar interests as hers (yoga, talking, eating and cuddling).
When you are settled in a chair she will come and snuggle on your lap, so make sure you are ready to sit for a while! Rosie gets cold, especially at night, so she has a bed with a tiny heater in it. The only time her owners unplug it is during the very hot days of summer!
Once Rosie gets to know you, her owner’s said that Rosie will give back one hundred per cent whatever you give her in love and affection!! She needs love and she will always give it back to you.
Rosie has a chip in her neck for ID and recently had her rabies shot. Her blood work was done in June and everything was good.
Rosie’s owners are hoping there is someone out there who is willing to give Rosie the love and affection she deserves as she enters her twilight years. Can you help them make Rosie’s senior years the best of her life?
Rosie's adoption fee is $125 and she is located in Rochester Hills, MI.
