This is “Hannah” and she was born on July 10th 2012 so she is a little over four years old. She is a spayed Seal Point and came to MISR in late November.
Hannah was surrendered because her owner was moving out of state and could not take Hannah with her.
Hannah had a rather strict and lonely life. She spent much of her time living in the basement and when she came upstairs, she was not allowed on the furniture. She was frightened with all the changes but she has made progress in adjusting to her new foster home and getting to be friends with her foster mom (who allows her to sit on the furniture).
Hannah cannot be around small children or dogs so we think she would do well in a house with adults and, maybe, older children.
We don’t know if Hannah would get along with other cats. She has adjusted well in her foster home and allows her foster mom to pet her. She hides from the grandchildren. We don't know if she will ever be a lap cat but she definitely likes her foster mom.
Hannah’s foster mom said Hannah likes to follow her around the house and is friendly.
All MISR cats are FIV/FELV negative, spayed or neutered, current on rabies and distemper shots and all known health issues have been addressed. The adoption fee for Hannah is $150. She is in a foster home in Pinckney.
MISR always accepts donations of lightly used cat carriers, cat trees/towers, and polartec delivery blankets.
