Robie is a two-year-old, neutered male, up-to-date on immunizations. He is a "high white" Snowshoe cat --a rare breed--with a mostly white body rather than just white paws.
He is outgoing and playful, and loves snuggling when he quiets down. He does not spray.
His current owners love him but serious allergies have brought them to the sad conclusion that they must find a new home for Robie. Robie is sad too, but he is a brave little boy and faces this challenge with courage and confidence.
Snowshoes are somewhat "dog like" in personality, resemble Siamese and are chatty but with more melodic voices. Robie generally gets along with other animals but he does not like large dogs. He got along well with another adult Snowshoe and a small dog.
Robie would probably get along with older, well-mannered children. He cannot go to a home with small children.
The original Snowshoe cat comes from the traditional, classic Siamese and a domestic shorthair and is recognized by many cat associations as a distinct and separate breed. There are only a handful of Snowshoe breeders in the United States.
(We will try to get more photos in the near future.) Robie is in Pinckney, MI.
All MISR cats are neutered/spayed, current on immunizations and all know health issues have been addressed. The adoption fee for Robie is $200.
MISR always accepts donations of lightly used cat carriers, cat trees/towers, and polartec delivery blankets.
