McGraw

Great news..... When we arrived home I set the carrier on the floor and opened the door. McGraw was the first to check things out. We played a little bit and I saw Reba "escape" to the other end of the house. After a bit of bonding with McGraw we went looking for MaMa. We found her under the treadmill and McGraw joined her for the next several hours. The treadmill is one you would see in the Gym and there is no way I can pick it up and move it myself. So I spent the next several hours trying to coax them out with goodies, toys, etc. I put the blanket that Pat sent home with them under there. I did see them eating under there so I felt pretty good about that. My boyfriend stopped by after he got out of work to see them, but wasn't able to get a good glimpse so he thought he better go home and let me do my charm. I played classical music, sang to them, petted them as best I could for the cramped space. I ended up laying on the floor next to them for a while. I have lamps on timers and about 10:30 the one nearest the treadmill went off. It was like someone turned the switch on in them. Reba was the first one to come out. Yes REBA. She got on top of the treadmill and stretched her neck looking in all directions. Next McGraw came out and started exploring again. We played for the next 2 hours until Mommy had to go get some sleep. Play time was fun. I am so shocked in the playfulness in Reba. I thought she would be the shy one. She came to me several times and even let me pick her up. Of course McGraw wanted attention too so both of my hands kept very busy. I am so happy because I have my girls back in a way. Reba is a carbon copy of my ChaChi. Actions, personality, the way she sits - everything. McGraw is exactly like my Squirty. Wants to be center of attention and has to know EVERYTHING that is going on. I am so happy that they have come around so quickly. I had to empty the litter boxes twice now. I have a temporary one in the area that they have been hanging around beside the humongous "sand box" that they love to play in. By the way....Reba loves her treats. She followed me around meowing, or should I say peeping, for more. I had to keep checking that it wasn't McGraw. I cannot thank you enough for allowing me to be their furever mom. I attached some pictures from this morning before I left for work. Today was the first day in 20 years I was actually late. That's ok though, my boss is very understanding. I'll have to set my alarm a hour earlier to get some play time in before heading off in the morning. I plan on squeezing out early today to spend more time with them and I usually call during the day and talk to them on my answering machine. I know, I'm a bit crazy!! Thanks again for everything that you do. Reba & McGraw's mommy, Lynn
