Hello, my name is "Mikky" and I am a neutered, male, Blue Point purebred Siamese born on August 20, 2012.
My foster dad says I am on the feisty side but I am slowly adjusting to my new foster home. I have to find a new home because my owner moved to an apartment where only de-clawed cats are allowed. She did not want to do that to me at my age and I am very grateful.
I probably need a home that is quiet and peaceful. That is what my previous home was like. Foster dad does not think I would do very well with children, noise, or dogs.
I may be able to live with another cat but the introduction would have to be done properly, over a period of time. Not just bringing me in and having me mix with the other cat right away. That is not a good way to make friends.
I have remained in isolation at the foster house (with a screen door so I can see what is going on). That is because there is this one girl cat that just annoys me and I can't help wanting to fight with her. So, the general consensus is that I MAY get along with another cat but it has to be the right cat and the introduction has to be handled properly.
I have very good litter box habits and I'm a little talkative. I will allow someone to pet me but not for very long and only around my head. Sorry, but those are my rules right now. I might be willing to relax them for the right person.
When someone reaches out a hand to me, I can't seem to resist gently grabbing your fingers with my teeth! Foster dad said I probably think it is a game but he also thinks I can learn not to do it. I always give a warning so a person can slowly move his/her hand away. Also, I don't like to be petted on my hindquarters so considered yourself warned.
If you use a closed fist, it doesn't seem as threatening and I'll allow you to rub my head or tummy with a closed fist.
I need to be adopted by someone who will have the patience to allow me to get to know you at my own speed and on my own terms. Those of you who are familiar with cats of a feisty nature will understand what I mean.
I hope there is a patient and understanding person out there who sees me and wants to give me a second chance at a forever home. I'd like to think I am worth it.
