Hi there, I'm Zack! I'm a 3-4 year old, dark seal point boy, with no claws on my front feet (all the better to cuddle on your lap with). I'm a mellow fellow who likes to go with the flow for the most part....that is, until you bring out my special feather toy--then all bets are off!
I am partial to those little crinkly balls too, but my all time favorite game is when one of you humans crunches up a small piece of heavyweight paper (I knew you had those opposable thumbs for a reason!) and flings it across the room for me. I promise to scramble after it and make you laugh at my antics for as long as you will keep throwing. When you get tired of playing, I like nothing more then to be petted and stroked, and will show you my appreciation with my loud purring. I am non confrontational, and get along well with other cats. Although the folks here at MISR don't know if I've ever lived with dogs in the past (and I'm not telling!), I am not letting the two huge, slobbery, hyper behemoths that live here in my foster house slow me down too much, or spoil my fun.
Hard to believe such a handsome, classy, well rounded fellow such as myself ended up in this place, isn't it? I'm pretty disappointed about it myself. I'll let you in on a secret: I have already been through two homes in my short life so far. See, I have a history of having had a few urinary tract infections and crystals. In fact, my first owners were going to have me put to sleep rather then take care of me. Thankfully the vet thought I was too special to die, convinced them to contact MISR, and I was given another chance.
I am on a special diet from the vet (which doesn't cost any more then a non prescription, premium cat food), which helps prevent flare ups, and overall am doing great. If I do have a flare up, its easily treatable with antibiotics. Foster mom says I'm real good about taking my pills!! I know there are lots of other wonderful cats out there looking for a home too, but please don't pass me by just because of this. I really want a forever home and a family I can bond with. I promise to be a very good boy, and shower you with enough love and affection that you'll never regret it.
