Did I just hear a door open? Where? The closet? The cupboard? I want to go see! My name is Miriam, and I consider it my duty in life to investigate every nook, cranny and crevice in my domain. A closed door is just no fun, but an open door... that's just the most exciting thing ever!

My journey here to MISR was, as foster mom puts it, something no animal anywhere should ever have to go through. My brother, Moses (we're a matched set), and I were found this Easter around 11 at night. The awful part was where we were found. Someone had stuffed the two of us in a little wicker basket, duct-taped the lid shut, and then sent us adrift down the Kalamazoo River. Of all the ways to "get rid of" one's pets... Anyway, between Moses and I, we cried up such a racket that someone along the shore thought a baby must have been in the basket and rescued us. Imagine their surprise to find us instead! The nice folks at animal control called MISR the next day and here we are.

I continually amaze and astonish foster mom with my acrobatics and personable nature. She says that I must be part grasshopper to jump as high as I do. One of my favorite toys is that fur mouse; I can bat that thing around for hours. Actually, any furry toy is fine with me. Fur balls, fur mice. They are so tantalizing. The feather on a string is also great; I've been seen doing flips over three feet high! Pretty much nothing scares me, and I love pretty much everybody. I'm a chocolate point (about 3 years old), so maybe it's just that I'm such a sweetie. Did I mention I have quite a sense of humor for a cat?

Foster mom doesn't know where I grew up, but she says that she knows I must have had a good home at some point because I know just where I fit in around the house. Meaning, I know it's all mine! When mom types, I try to sit on the keyboard, or at least on her lap. When mom cooks, I want to help her taste everything. Some of the best times are when we just hang out on the couch and she lets me and Moses climb all over her. Humans make the best kitty jungle gyms.

Anyway, Moses and I are two of the best meezers you are ever going to meet. Lucky for you, we come four-paw declawed and ready to head-butt and love-toe our way into your hearts. We don't want to ride any more river boats. If you want Moses and I to join your Love Boat, give MISR a call today!
