Dowtao is a 9 month old bluepoint boy, with quite a story to tell. Several months ago, he was abandoned in a parking lot of a local bar. As sad as it is, this is an all-too-common scenario, and the bartender spotted him as she was closing up. She decided to take him home for his safety, and to find him a home, as she had done for countless others in similar circumstances in the past. When she went to pick him up, she discovered he had a collar around his neck (not a "quick release"type) and had somehow managed to get his leg through and caught inside it. It must have been that way for quite some time, as it had worn down almost to the bone. This very kind soul took Dowtao to the vet and spent quite a bit of time, money, and affection to set him to rights again. It has paid off in spades...after his long convalescence, he is a rambunctious, affectionate cat, who loves to be in the middle of everything, and will run and greet you at the door. His rescuer had long since fallen in love with his pluck and charm, and would love to keep him forever, but unfortunately she has senior cats in her household, and Dowtao's exuberance and enthusiasm is just too much for them.
