MORGAN HAS AN ADOPTION PENDING, 02/21/22
Hello, my name is “Morgan” and I am a Blue Point Snowshoe Siamese male. I came to MISR in early July 2021. I was found by a few women after meowing loudly near their window. They came outside to investigate and found me, a tiny, two lbs., five-week-old kitten. These nice ladies had cats of their own and could not keep an energetic, annoying, baby kitten, so they contacted MISR. MISR was delighted to bring me into the rescue. The vet estimated I was about five weeks old and much too young to be separated from my mother. No one knows why I was on the streets all alone.
I have been with the same foster mom since July. I am comfortable with foster mom, but, I am afraid of everyone else and hide when I hear anyone else talking.
Note from foster mom: Morgan would not be good with small children who want to hold him and play with him. He is just too afraid of people. One adopter did come to meet him and Morgan was terrified and clawed foster mom in his haste to get away.
Morgan is an active, curious boy and needs owners with a lot of patience and empathy. It may take him a while to get over his fear of a new place and new people. He would probably do best in a quiet home with another young, active cat. He loves to play, especially at 3:00 a.m. when he seems to get a burst of energy. Foster mom is retired so it doesn’t bother her.
Foster mom thinks I am a great kitten. I help her tie her shoes and jump up on the counter to help her dish out my food. I enjoy drinking foster mom’s water and sticking my paw in her glass. I like to chase and torment my two older sisters (Spice age four and Storm age five). Storm smacks me in the face a lot, so I don’t bother her too much. Foster mom separates us if it starts to get too intense.
I like to make my own toys, i.e. garbanzo beans, small pieces of lettuce, my dry cat food, coins, pencils and pens, eye drop bottles, etc. I also like shoelaces (with the plastic ends removed.)
I am still a kitten with kittenish behavior like climbing drapes, clawing furniture, knocking over lamps, etc. I also think it is my duty to push all small items off counters, tables, the bathroom sink, etc. I have trained foster mom to check the floor first if something is not where she left it.
All MISR cats are neutered or spayed; FIV/FELV tested and current on rabies and distemper. All known health issues have been addressed. The adoption fee for Morgan is $200 and he is located in a foster home in Howell MI.
