Marlin is a 3 ½ year-old, lovable, fluffy, Flame Point boy. Marlin is feeling a bit gloomy and his happy life has turned to one of uncertainty. He has been with his owner since he was only a few weeks old. Now, his owner is expecting a baby and the smell of litter is making her ill. So, Marlin and his litter box have to find another home. It was a very difficult decision to make since Marlin was her first “baby” but the decision has been made with sadness and tears.

Marlin is a little finicky when you first meet him but he will eventually warm up and get back to his normal loving feline self. Fortunately, he comes with a cat manual of his likes and dislikes provided by his owner.

He loves sprawling out on his back; looking out windows, especially on rainy days; following the sun patches (his “rays of death”) in the house; chasing the laser pointer; playing with and fetching the plastic milk carton rings; batting or chasing anything on a string; catnip. He loves visiting with you in the bathroom, especially when you are seated. He appreciates a captive audience.

Marlin appears to like the visiting grandchildren at his foster home. They are well-behaved and treat him gently.  Marlin cannot go to a home with dogs.

We know there is someone out there, who has a great home to offer this special, temporarily sad but getting happier, boy. You will just need to be patient with him until he is comfortable in a new home.

All MISR cats are spayed/neutered, FIV/FELV tested, current on rabies and distemper and all known health issues have been addressed. Marlin’s adoption fee is $200 and he is located in a foster home in Plymouth MI
