Mya is a beautiful, Seal Point Siamese. She is one of four cats surrendered by her owner and has been with MISR for a few months.  Mya is about two and one half years old. She was the shyest of the four and it has taken a while to gain her trust and give her time to relax her guard.

Mya must go to a quiet home with only females. She is terrified of the foster dad and since he has never scared other cats, we can surmise the issue is Mya’s. The foster aunt can pick up Mya, put her on her lap and cut her nails. Foster dad cannot approach her, let alone touch her.

Mya knows her name and responds when called. Mya does not seem to have any interest in the other cats.  She is still alone in her room with a screen door but when the other cats come to the door to visit, Mya ignores them.  Mya did get along with her sister cat but she has been adopted.

The best home for Mya would be with a single woman in a quiet home. She should have the patience to allow Mya time to adjust to her new home at her own speed.  We think Mya may do best as an only cat.

Because Mya appears to be terrified of men, she needs a home with only women so please do not apply if your home does not fit her needs. Mya is in a foster home in Novi MI.  Her adoption fee is $200.  All MISR cats are spayed or neutered, FIV/FELV negative, current on rabies and distemper and all known health issues have been addressed.
