Hi -- I'm Ming, and I am a young (about one year old) bluepoint Siamese--heavy emphasis on the Siamese part. Why? Well - I am told that I am handsome, charming, verrry affectionate, verrry playful and really, really smart... and also very talkative, very strong-willed, kind of mischievous... and just plain... well, Siamese! If you have a lap, I want to lie in it, or sometimes put my arms around your neck and give your cheek a lick. As my forever people, I’ll give you all the love you’ll let me. I'll help you with the laundry, too! If your toes go by one of my favorite hiding places (like an open grocery bag or the trailing corner of a bedspread), I want to play with them! If you’re going to sit on your patio, I love being near you wearing my harness and a retractable leash. (My foster mom says I picked that up the fastest of any cat she’s ever had. Did I mention that I’m really smart?)
If you look right at me, you’ll notice my right eye looks different. The vet calls it a congenital cataract. I call it character! Since this is how I’ve always seen the world, it doesn’t bother me except occasionally when I want to jump to a new place. Without depth perception, I don’t always gauge the distance just right.
I have good housekeeping habits, I am good about my litter, and I don't claw furniture, and I usually remember that my claws can scratch when I am playing. I LOVE chasing a ball or a fur mouse around the house or wrestling with my “doll”! (Did I mention I was playful?)
But I do need you to understand that I am still learning some etiquette and be willing to teach me! Your reward will be a happy, playful and entertaining companion. I would love to be around a family, including teenagers - I am still kind of a kid myself. My foster parents think that I am actually only about a year old, and may grow a bit more. I’d love to have a cat playmate, especially a kitten or young girl who will let me be “king of the hill.” Older cats seem to think I’m kind of a pest, and I really don’t like it when they try to put me in my place!
Everyone who meets me loves me, so if you think you might like to love me in your home, please come to Okemos to meet me!
