Mitzi was rescued earlier this summer when a cat-savvy couple who had been feeding her recognized that she was pregnant. Her four lovely kittens are about to be weaned and placed in new homes, so Mitzi is ready to be spayed and have her own Forever Home. Besides being absolutely gorgeous, she's a total sweetheart, very affectionate and always purring--she even asks for a few minutes of petting before eating her supper.
According to our vet, Mitzi is between 1 1/2 and 3 1/2 years old. She tested negative for the major feline diseases, and has had her rabies and distemper shots.
Mitzi is a little bit shy, naturally, but she took just a couple of days to warm up to adults. Mitzi has no experience with young children, dogs, or other cats, so we don't know if she will adapt to a home with children, dogs, or cats. It is possible that a gentle, gradual introduction may work with Mitzi.
All MISR cats are FIV/FELV negative, current on rabies and distemper, spayed/neutered, and all known health issues have been addressed. Mitzi's adoption fee is $150.
MISR always accepts donations of lightly used cat carriers, cat trees/towers, and polartec delivery blankets.
