Adoption pending for Marty & Sparty, 8/30/17.
MARTY & SPARTY ARE A BONDED PAIR AND MUST BE ADOPTED TOGETHER.
Marty and Sparty are two male kitties, about 1 ½ years-old. Marty is a Seal Point Siamese and Sparty is a Domestic kitty with pretty green eyes.
Their owner was very stressed and apparently could not handle the responsibility of these two little boys and wanted to dump them in the woods. Fortunately, a neighbor decided to save the cats and gave them temporary shelter. She could not keep them since she had so many cats of her own. Several cat lovers worked together and the two boys came to MISR. Although Sparty is not a Siamese, the fact that his friend, Marty, is a Siamese was enough to get him admitted to MISR.
This information is from their foster mom: "Marty is very loving and friendly to everyone! He has gotten along with both my new kitten and my 3 year old male cat. He even greets strangers and is getting used to my Husky. He will follow me all around the house and loves to lay on my lap and knead me with his paws. He gets super excited whenever I get out the toy mouse to play.
Sparty is a little more reserved but still very friendly. He loves my kitten but has been somewhat aggressive towards my older cat and dog. Sparty may be scared and think that he has to defend himself but he is beginning to settle down. He does loves any attention he can get. His favorite past time is eating."
They appear to get along with other cats and dogs (as long as they are properly introduced). They may get along with well-behaved children but we are not certain.
They are both neutered, FIV/FELV negative, are current on rabies and distemper and all known health issues have been addressed. The total adoption fee for both cats is $300. Marty and Sparty are in a foster home in Montague, Mi.
