Daisy has an adoption pending, 08/24/16
Hello, I’m Daisy and I am a petite, four-year-old, purebred, Platinum Mink Tonkinese with amazing blue-green eyes. I can be a little shy at first, but if you are nice, I will 'chat' with you and follow you around.
Last year my owner passed away suddenly and I was left alone with little food and water for several weeks. Life without a human was very scary. I lost a lot of weight and was sad. Luckily, my foster mom showed up to take care of me. I was so hungry that when my foster mom would feed me, I'd eat as fast and as much as I possibly could.
My foster mom says I have the cutest little raspy voice. I like attention, especially hugs and having my back and head scratched. Being groomed is the best! I'll let you brush me all day long. Cutting my nails and cleaning the corners of my eyes is fine too - I'm a girly girl and like to look my best.
I love to play - anything dangling on a stick is my favorite. My foster mom has given me a basket full of toys, but they're not as exciting as a piece of paper or a zip tie. When my foster mom is around, I prefer to sit on her shoulder and give her hugs.
My foster mom took me to my vet for a visit. (I don't like the vet, but I'm a good girl and didn't misbehave). The vet said that I am in good health, up-to-date on my vaccinations, and have gained a whole pound - I'm now just over 7 lbs.
My former owner was older and didn't teach me any tricks, but I'd love to learn some. My foster mom is showing me how to take treats from her hands (did I mention that I LOVE treats??). I'm very observant and have almost figured out how to open doors. I am a little afraid of unfamiliar things and will hide out to observe my surroundings for a bit. Once I determine that there's no danger, all is fine.
My foster mom has introduced me to all kinds of humans, from itty bitty ones to really big ones. If foster mom likes them, I like them - and if they'll play with me, then I love them (big people, not itty bitty ones)! Foster mom tried to introduce me to other pets and I did not like that at all!!
My foster mom says I need to be the only pet in my new home. In fact, that is why I am on this website, I can't get along with foster mom's two cats. Although I’m able to tolerate children, I would prefer to find a home with only adults and no children. My foster mom thinks I'm the perfect companion for a senior or two, due to my sweet disposition.
My foster mom let me sleep in her bed. I curl up by her legs and sleep there all night. And if it gets a little cold, I pat her on the shoulders until she wakes up and lets me under the blankets. She seems to be easy to train - she has also figured out my special sound for when I want my litter box cleaned (she forgets sometimes and must be told).
I'm looking forward to getting my forever home where I can be "Princess Daisy." I hope the right person/people are reading my bio right now.
Daisy is spayed, current on vaccinations, all known health issues have been addressed and her adoption fee is $200. She is located in Shelby Township.
