He is a beautiful and loving boy. He is about 8 1/2 (10-13-2004) years old and I would consider him to be a size small/medium cat (9#'s). He is 4 paw declaw. He would be a wonderful loving companion for someone who wants a quiet loving friend. Romeo will never be the cat who greets people at the door.
When I go to visit and he is on his Dad's bed, I kneel down on the floor and he lets me actually askes me to give him scratches and scrunches. He will head butt my hand until I continue. He fears quick human movement and noises and loud human voices and will retreat under the bed. At night when Dad is under the covers he gives many head to head butts and purrs for back rubs.
He eats well and uses the litter box well.
I love to look at that beautiful little dark face and those gentle eyes. He really wanted to jump on my lap the other day but just could not work up the nerve to do it.
I feel a lot of his shyness is due to the fact that he has NO claws. He likes most of the other cats that are not too bossy. His special friend is Snow who will walk by him in the hall and give him a head butt and a face wash. Romeo just closes his eyes and smiles at his gentle comforting friend.
We would like to see him in a home that is quiet. No kids or loud noises. Can't see him with dogs. Other like minded cats (no alpha males) would be best.
I would like to see him have a human who can spend time with him and quickly build his trust.
